At our 70-year Hüller Hille anniversary, Horst Heckhorn (CENIT AG) and Ralph Christnacht (CEO & Founder, Zuse Automation) talked about their perspectives on the future of machining, where additive and reductive machining merge, and the product determines its production. Eine hochdynamische deutsche Geschichte

In landschaftlich schöner Lage, an einem Berghang am Neckar bei Mosbach, liegt die Maschinenfabrik Diedesheim. Hier werden schon seit 1947 Werkzeugmaschinen hergestellt und in die ganze Welt vertrieben, seit 1994 speziell unter dem Markennamen „Hüller Hille“. Aber was hat es mit der Geschichte der international renommierten Qualitätsmarke für Hochpräzisions-Fertigung auf sich, und wofür steht der Name „Hüller Hille“?

Mayor Jann hit the nerve of our startup and anniversary celebrations when he said “It’s definitely not a given”, meaning the chance to celebrate after some stormy years and one or another crisis. For Zuse Automation, Mosbach-Diedesheim is not just a production site. Ralph Christnacht, CEO Zuse Automation: “We were looking for our own platform, and with Hüller Hille found exactly what we were looking for” Mr. Christnacht was greeted by Hüller Hille employees with various presents, also introducing the latest product innovation at the site: A Zuse Hüller Hille NBH 630 5X, made not to cut but to be cut into delicious pieces of cake.

Zuse Hüller Hille is starting out new, and an optimistic view accompanied the celebration days. Joachim Krischke, Project Manager Development: “We know that we have to change”. And indeed, change, flexibility and transformation are the only key to success in the modern production world. Zuse Hüller Hille machine tools are produced by a “just-in-time” principle. This means that modules are purchased and assembled at the plant instead of manufacturing each single part.
